Streaming hashes
Files are hashed as streams so memory use does not scale with artifact size.

A compact Windows integrity tool built around one practical question: is this exactly the file or directory state that was tested, packaged or handed to someone else?
The problem
Installers, model files, archives and build outputs can keep the same name while their contents change. ExactArtifact gives those handoffs a deterministic integrity layer through streamed hashes and manifests.
The core library is intentionally independent from the WPF interface. The CLI supports automation and verification workflows while the GUI keeps the common file and folder operations accessible.
Engineering surface
Files are hashed as streams so memory use does not scale with artifact size.
Directory entries are normalized and sorted so repeated snapshots of unchanged content remain stable.
Verification distinguishes added, removed and modified content rather than collapsing every failure into a generic mismatch.
A reusable .NET core supports both a command-line workflow and a compact WPF desktop interface.
Release evidence
The 1.0 candidate was rebuilt, tested, packaged, hashed and then smoke-tested from the release archive rather than assuming a successful source build was enough.
Focused utility
ExactArtifact is deliberately not a package manager or cloud service. It solves local artifact identity and verification cleanly, then stops.
